Most people wash their sheets regularly. Their mattress? Not so much.
In a recent Southern Living feature, I shared why mattress cleaning is one of the most overlooked parts of a healthy home routine. Mattresses can collect dust mites, pet dander, pollen, mold, skin cells, and other allergens over time, all of which can contribute to allergy symptoms and disrupted sleep.

I reccommend lightly cleaning your mattress every 3 to 6 months and doing a deeper clean annually.
The good news? A little maintenance goes a long way. Regular vacuuming, baking soda treatments, washing bedding consistently, and using a quality mattress protector can help keep your sleep environment cleaner between deep cleans.
At The Allergy Aesthetic, we're big believers that better sleep starts with a healthier foundation. Sometimes the simplest changes, like protecting and maintaining your mattress, can make a meaningful difference in how your home feels.
