When people think about weekend cleaning, they often focus on visible clutter. But from an allergy perspective, some of the most important tasks are the ones that help reduce allergens and improve indoor air quality.
In a recent Southern Living article, I shared why washing your bedding every week should be a non-negotiable. Dust mites, pet dander, pollen, and other allergens can quickly accumulate in sheets, blankets, and pillowcases, especially during the warmer months.
As I shared with Southern Living, "Washing bedding for at least 15 minutes at 130°F is very important." Regular washing can help reduce allergen exposure and create a healthier sleep environment for the whole family.
